1. Promoter

This giveaway is run by Hawk Renovations ("the Promoter").

2. Eligibility Requirements

Who Can Enter: Australian residents registered with our selected community services organisation can nominate either their own family or any other family for this giveaway.
Winner Requirements: The final giveaway winner must meet the following criteria:

• Be 18 years or older
• Be the registered title owner of the property (either with a mortgage or owning outright)
• Have a property located within 30km of the Albury Post Office
• If nominated by someone else, we may contact shortlisted recipients directly before any consideration - if they prefer not to participate, they will be respectfully excluded from the process

Entry Integrity: We reserve the right to exclude any entries where we believe that bulk entries, bots, or an unreasonable number of submissions by one person are made. We may use technology including recording of IP addresses to determine multiple entries.

Excluded Entries:

• Properties listed for sale, under contract, or soon-to-be sold
• Rental properties or properties tenanted under a residential lease - unfortunately, we cannot renovate rental properties due to approval complexities with landlords and our desire to ensure families benefit from this renovation for many years to come
• Properties with unresolved council orders, pending building disputes, or illegal plumbing or electrical work

3. Selection Process

• All applications will be reviewed by our selection community services selection panel
• The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the selection process
• Recipients will be carefully selected based on genuine need and circumstances
• Winners must provide evidence of ownership and identity within 14 days of being contacted

4. Prize Details

• One (1) prize winner will receive a full bathroom renovation valued up to $30,000 AUD, delivered by Hawk Renovations
• The renovation value includes materials, labor (at standard rates), and project management
• The value of labor, project management, trade services, and all other components of the prize are determined solely by Hawk Renovations - no correspondence will be entered into regarding individual pricing or cost breakdowns
• Includes: planning, interior design, demolition, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, painting, fixture installation, and all materials
• The winner will receive a fully completed bathroom renovation with all materials, fixtures, and fittings supplied - all products and materials will be sourced from our generous sponsors and selected suppliers

Prize Limitations:

• Only one existing bathroom may be renovated under the prize
• Structural alterations (e.g., moving walls, modifying load-bearing structures) are excluded unless agreed in writing and within budget
• Any additional works outside the original scope will be quoted separately and charged to the winner
• Hawk Renovations will work closely with the winning family to design and deliver a renovation that fits within the allocated budget while meeting their needs and suiting their home

5. Winner Obligations

• Must provide safe, legal, and uninterrupted access to the property during the agreed renovation period
• Must agree to sign a standard domestic building contract with Hawk Renovations before works commence
• Must complete a Pre-Start Inspection and Scope Sign-Off before commencement
• During the renovation period while the renovation is being completed, the bathroom will be inaccessible - recipients are responsible for arranging alternative showering and bathroom facilities if this is their only bathroom

6. Media and Photography Requirements

By entering, the winner agrees to:

• Before and after photographs of their bathroom being taken - this is non-negotiable
• Be filmed/photographed throughout the renovation process (before, during, after)
• Allow Hawk Renovations to use content across social media, websites, and marketing platforms
• Appear in photographs and/or television segments that may be used in media coverage and promotional materials for future giveaway events
• Be named publicly as the giveaway winner
• Sign a media release prior to renovation commencing

Privacy Protection:

Inspections of potential recipients' bathrooms may be conducted during the selection process - this does not guarantee selection as the winner. Only the name and photographic content of the actual winner will be used publicly. Any other applicants who receive preliminary inspections will not have their names, photos, or personal details used in any marketing or media.

7. Property Condition Requirements

• A site inspection will be conducted before confirming the prize
• We will work with the recipient where possible to address any issues, however the Promoter may cancel the prize if there is presence of asbestos, hazardous materials, or the bathroom is deemed unsafe or structurally unsound
• If council approvals are required but not achievable within a reasonable time, the prize may be cancelled

8. Non-Compliance & Cancellation

The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize if the winner:

• Fails to comply with reasonable instructions or engages in abusive, threatening, or defamatory behaviour
• Delays works unreasonably (more than 45 days)
• Is found to have entered under false pretences

9. Transfer & Substitution

• The prize cannot be transferred, substituted, gifted, or redeemed for cash
• If the winner chooses not to proceed, a new winner will be selected
• No substitutions or partial value redemptions will be allowed

10. Limitations of Liability

The Promoter is not liable for:

• Delays due to trade availability, supply chain issues, or force majeure (including weather, illness, or government restrictions)
• Property damage caused by pre-existing issues
• Personal injury, loss of income, or consequential loss arising from use of the prize

11. Defamation Clause

• Any entrant or winner found publicly defaming or misrepresenting the Promoter on social media, review platforms, or other public forums may be disqualified and/or legally pursued for damages
• The Promoter reserves the right to withhold or revoke the prize where disputes, dishonesty, or reputational harm is evident

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) or relevant NSW courts.

13. Privacy

All personal information collected will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Details will not be sold or shared without consent, except where required by law.

Contact of Nominees: If you have been nominated by someone else for this giveaway, we will contact you directly to verify your interest in participating and obtain your consent before any consideration of your application.

Genuine Community Initiative: This is a genuine promotion designed to help a local family in need of a bathroom renovation. Form submission details (whether self-nominated or nominated by others) will not be used for marketing promotions or advertising purposes outside of this specific giveaway.

Information Access: Details provided on forms will be viewed by Hawk Renovations staff and may be stored or accessed by our IT service providers in the normal course of providing technical services. Personal information will not be provided to trade sponsors or any other third parties, except in the case where a supplier may be part of the selection panel (and only for the purpose of selecting a recipient), or where the winner's details need to be shared with suppliers and tradespeople for the purpose of delivering the renovation prize.

14. General Conditions

• These terms and conditions may be updated at any time during the application period
• Hawk Renovations reserves the right to cancel or modify this giveaway if circumstances require
• All work will be completed to Australian building standards and covered by appropriate warranties
